Biography of Michelle Marsh
Michelle Marsh was born on September 30, 1982, in Oldham, Lancashire, England. Growing up in a large, supportive family, Michelle took an early interest in modeling, singing and acting. Between the ages of 4 and 6, she modeled with Kids and Co.; when she was 11 she began appearing in local and school productions of musicals like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oliver!, The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, and Annie.

In 1998, Michelle won first prize at a Manchester talent show, and was a finalist in a BBC Radio One songwriting competition. In 1999, she dropped out of school to pursue a career in showbiz. She first appeared on That's Entertainment, then landed roles on the popular British soaps Brookside, Hollyoaks and Coronation Street.

Michelle also pursued modeling and singing, reaching the final 30 among women on Popstars, a TV singing competition. In December 2000, Michelle took her first step toward modeling fame when she appeared as a bikini babe on the cover of the British tabloid the Daily Star. The following April, she was a runner-up in The Sun's Miss Cleavage competition, earning her further promotional work for the tabloid around Britain. In the spring of 2002, Michelle made her solo singing debut (albeit at a small pub in her hometown).

Michelle Marsh took a big step in October 2002 when she appeared topless on Page Three of the Daily Star. On New Year's Eve, she had her first singing gig at a club, and the following March, Michelle was offered the ultimate Page Three gig for the famed tabloid The Sun. Numerous photo shoots followed in rapid succession. As Michelle Marsh continued to pose, she also made commercials, appeared at motorcycle shows and even did a shoot at the 2003 Rugby World Cup. On top of all this, Michelle continued to foster her singing career, landing a regular monthly gig at the Marston Tavern in Royton.

Before modelling
She went to the Crompton House CE School on Rochdale Road in High Crompton, where she took GCSEs in 1999. She grew up on Harewood Drive in Royton, where her company is still based. She was interested in singing, acting and modelling from a young age, and initially appeared as an extra on soap operas such as Brookside from 1999 after leaving school. She later entered the TV sound-alike contest Stars in Their Eyes as Emma Bunton and competed in ITV's singing competition Popstars, before focusing on modelling. Before becoming a model, she worked as a care assistant at the Royley House Nursing Home in Royton. In June 2002, she won the Rochdale Observer Face of the Year competition, held at the local Liquid Rock Nightclub in Rochdale, which allowed her to have free modelling by DK Model Management in Sheffield.

Music career
On 6 November 2006 Marsh released her first single "I Don't Do", which reached number five in the UK Indie Chart, but failed to appear in the Top 20 UK Singles Chart. It charted at 27 in the UK charts then dropped to 39 by its second week.



Film career
In January 2009 she will appear in the feature film Clubbed.

2004 saw Michelle's success continue to grow. She first embarked on a series of spreads posing with Lucy Pinder, another top Page Three girl. Michelle then did a shoot for Playboy, and graced the covers of many other men's magazines, including Loaded, NUTS, Perfect 10, Zoo, and Playboy.

As Michelle's modeling career continued to evolve on its own momentum, she shifted her focus to other fields. Her first single, "I Don't Do," was released in November 2006; it failed to break the top 20 in the UK Singles Charts. She also made television appearances on The X Factor, The Steam Room, The Weakest Link, and Greatest Ever Disaster Movies. In June 2007, Michelle Marsh married Will Haining, a player for St. Mirren F.C. Michelle gave birth to her first child, Maddison, in December. Also in 2007, Michelle Marsh landed a cohosting gig on The Steam Room on the digital channel Men and Motors.
